ABOUT
1994 - In pre-school, teachers said to my parents I'd become a great artist after flawlessly drawing a squirrel on a sheet of paper.
1996 - I was young, excited, and ready to draw - watching my dad draw maps on A3 papers based on the PS1 game Alundra. That was when my interest for drawing truly initiated and I began doing the same thing. I began analysing maps in games to recreated them in my own ways.
1999 - One day a substitute teacher came in with a bunch of printed-out A4 papers and began handing them out, on which was dragons he had drawn and said that we got to colour them during class session. "That's no fun", I thought, and threw his dragons up against the window to recreate them to suit my own taste. I've always thought I could do better than people and in my early days that was my motivation - my drive.
2000 - I started illustrating and drawing 2D environments which were supposed to be interactive during gameplay for my first "big" game project I found online. Unfortunately, the game was not funded and the project shut down shortly after its initiation but with it came some experience for future me.
2002 - I became familiar with GUI Design when me and my sister started designing games together in RPG Maker 2000. I remember trying to figure out what I could do with the different visual elements for our first game project as I ended up manipulating existing elements. Trials and errors and finally an epic Title Screen & Logo was created with my sister's Photoshop 7.0.
2003 - I began playing Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge with my friends and started creating my very own maps and missions with the Final Alert 2 Map Editor software.
2004 - Big fan of The Sims-series had me skipping classes to draw and illustrate houses and blueprints for the longest time.
2006 - Moved back home for a bit and picked up pixel art. After multiple sittings and studying of my favourite game of all-time "The Legend of Zelda - A Link To The Past" I began creating my own Zelda-world - a project that is still active to this day.
2008 - I founded Aerapix. I began doing freelance work for others including; GUI, Icons, Logos.
2011 - I started getting to know Blender and created my first 3D model.
2013 - I was approached by multiple businesses after expanding my DeviantArt portfolio. I designed my very first brand for Twisted Indigo, LTD. After that Najé Essentials contacted me and wanted a brand identity design for their business.
Since leaving full-time education, I have accumulated over 25 Years Graphics Experience and 6 Years in: Logo Designs; Brand Identities; Label Design; Posters & Flyers; Skins; Avatars; Icons; Interface Design, and Infographics.
I may be self-taught but I dedicate my days to Graphic Design - starting when I wake up to when I finally go back to bed. If I go back to bed that is. I might be a Vampire after all. MOHAHAHA.
